This is Darth. he's recently returned from an epic battle with a lollipop. In fact, some remnants of the foul creature remain on his cheek.

It seems like sometimes there aren’t enough hours in the day, or week to get to everything that I would like to get to.  I honestly meant to get this post up on Saturday morning, but since I am in the habit of staying away from the “box which steals the soul” on weekends, it simply didn’t happen.

halloween went better than expected.  Lil’ B. actually trick-or-treated the neighbor’s house all on his own, no costume, no nothing.  He walked through the fog of the fog machine, a mist which had terrified all of the other little children in the area, as if it weren’t there.  Once he’d figured out that there was candy on a stick at this location, nothing daunted him and we had to stop him after his fifth trip.

Once he allowed me to get him into the required disguise, he made one more house.  After that the evening was over for him.  Apparently not getting the same kind of candy at every home was something that he wasn’t ready to deal with.  He just wanted suckers.

The rest of the weekend went fairly well.  Our hero entertained himself with anything and everything he should not have gotten into, with extended periods of sorting the blades of grass that I desperately need to trim in the back yard.  he got a little more one-on-one time with his newest sidekick Cocoa and seemed generally to have a wonderful time.

For us the break was both productive and welcome.  We did adult things, like sort, clean and organize while our hero was otherwise occupied.  After all, you can’t have the adventure of a lifetime if your supplies aren’t in order, now can you?
